This should be interpreted in the opposite direction.
This map shows the highest concentrations of tea totallers by state. It counts people drinking once a day and once a month as equal.
This is more about prevalence (at a very low threshold) than abuse.

What the heck else are we supposed to do up here in winter? Well, Maine did just vote to legalize...

Where is the map which shows where the most Oppos live?
Very few in this part of the country. They seem to be concentrated in Texas, California, and the New England/Mid Atlantic area.

Interesting. My brother is a very active Oppo and lives in Texas. I am a Californian. There are some very active Oppos in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio as well.

Good question. Search MLS for houses in warmer states?

I live straddling IL and WI.
I’m currently in nearly alcohol-less Utah having a few Mike’s while watching morning cartoons and reading about Airbus A319 incidents. #noshame

Wisconsinites drink so heavily to forget that they’re in Wisconsin. New Englanders are such heavy drinkers because there’s nothing else to do.

welcome to New Hampshire. Home of cheap booze-cigarettes + fireworks.

Weird how most of the U.S. has to drink a lot to cope with being stuck in a union with the southern states.

Midwest is very active. That’s where Oppomeet, with like 10-15 of us, was held.

Seems legit. I swear drinking and driving is viewed as a damn sport in rural Wisconsin (which is most of it).
I’ve never been drunk, I cannot stand the taste of alcohol.

I imagine consumption rates by location mirror abuse rates. Wisconsinites seem to view drunk driving as some sort of sport.

This isn’t actually heavy drinkers, it’s frequent drinkers. I dare say a heavy drinkers chart would look different.
Ie. 1 drink a day vs 10 drinks a night 2 nights a week

Makes sense to me. I threw it up there primarily for its entertainment value, because it’s a known fact that
nobody
on Oppo imbibes.
